For starters, my name is Ben Trimpi.  My full name is Benjamin, but usually I don't hear that unless my mom sees that I forgot to take out the trash.  Born and raised in Greenville, North Carolina, I've grown up here with my family and made a number of good connections with people from around the area.  I met my group of close friends at South Central High School, where I'm preparing to graduate from in the Summer of 2017.  Most of my friends and I share an avid interest in skateboarding, Japanese, engineering, and especially traveling.  Along with AP classes, my best friend David and I had taken four years of Japanese throughout highschool.  To expand on our interest in Japanese, we signed up for an EF Tours sponsored trip to Japan in the Summer of 2016, and it was nothing short of spectacular.  Japan not only firmly defined my interest in seeing the world, but it also opened my eyes to the diversity that the world has to offer.  Someday I plan to see as much as I can of the world, but for now I've set my eyes on studying electrical engineering at NC State University.
